Learn about the Gullah Geechee heritage of Armstrong with Derek Hankerson, historian and descendant of some of the community’s earliest settlers (and grandson of its first postmaster!). Hankerson was instrumental in the addition of Armstrong to the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor. Tours at 1 pm and 3 pm, starting at the St. Johns Cultural Council tent.
